Making wine always has been a family affair for the Portets. Now, as tenth generation winemaker Ben Portet returns to his family’s Yarra Valley winery, the legacy continues. This family of vignerons dates back to eighteenth century France.
Emmanuel grew up in France and has been in the wine trade for nearly 30 years. As a wine merchant, wine maker, exporter and marketing agent for a Champagne label whilst in France, he has developed an intimate knowledge of regional French wines.
Chambord
Chambord is inspired by a unique raspberry liqueur produced in the Loire Valley of France during the late 17th Century. The liqueur was said to have been introduced to King Louis XIV during one of his visits to the Chateau de Chambord.
